When Black Americans oppose The Iraq War, do they
serve the best interests of all blacks? According to a Pew Research
Poll from 2003, only 44% of blacks supported the war, while 73% of
whites and 67% of Hispanics supported the war. The average support at
that time for all Americans was 66%. Why would black support be lower
than any other race polled? Do Black Americans realize that by vocally
opposing war they jeopardize the lives of blacks in the military, which
represent a higher percentage of blacks than society as a whole
represents? Blacks make up about 12-13% of the general population,
while representing approximately 21% of the total military.
People like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and
Louis Farrakhan continually bash the war, emboldening our enemy, and
help prolong a battle that should have been over a long time ago. This
constant agitation by the Left and by many Black Americans has done
nothing but make a tough job more difficult. The Democrats use blacks
like every other minority group to irritate Republicans and weaken the
United States in hopes of becoming The Socialist States of America. It
is no coincidence that The Socialist States of America contains the
letters “SS”.
Do blacks think that once the so-called
Illegal War ends and if by some chance the Muslim fanatics were
victorious, blacks would somehow be able to overcome all the hardships
they blame on racism? Black Americans might want to check with some of
the blacks living in the Sudan under Muslim control before rooting too
much for Allah. They might also ask themselves how Islam came to Africa.
Are blacks considering the ramifications of
their actions? If Al-Qaeda is allowed to strengthen its position
because of misplaced black outrage this may lead to more setbacks for
blacks. When and if Al-Qaeda strikes us, where do blacks think they
will strike? It will not be in some hick town bordering on nowhere,
full of white people. It will probably be a major urban center, maybe
New York City, Los Angeles, or Chicago. Chicago has a black population
of over 1.6 Million that represents 36.77% of the entire Chicago
population and New York City is 26.59% Black. These numbers are well
above black representation in the general population.
Black casualties are also played up in the
media. So-called black leaders regularly spew the “minorities suffer
more” and “minority casualties are higher” angles to help divide
minority opinion and divide the country for their own selfish political
gains. One only has to check the facts to see a different story. Black
casualties percentages are generally the same or lower than black
representation in the general population of the United States, while
having higher representation in the military compared to civilian life.
The underlying theme is, without actually
saying it, that blacks are too stupid to do anything in the military
but serve as target practice for our enemies. This is once again, in
complete contradiction to the facts. Blacks join the military and serve
in technical fields, support units, medical units, and the infantry.
The idea that blacks are being shot up left and right is preposterous.
This degrading attitude held by so many black elitists is dangerous as
well as disrespectful. It marginalizes the accomplishments of blacks in
the military, the patriotism of blacks, and the intelligence of blacks.
It is a shame that the people who claim that they wish to help blacks
cannot see past their own biased views and cannot see that Black
Americans have been helping themselves since the days of slavery.
